Wedding dance

based on László Nagy’s poem “Wedding”

”Two human stars, married for eternity, for good and truthfulness.”

It is a piece against decay and destruction, against all retracting forces, a piece for the youth.

Based on László Nagy’s poem entitled “Wedding”, this production presents the events that follow the wedding ceremony: the whirl of the wedding feast and the young persons as a newly wedded couple. However, this couple is not part of a feast that is a testimony to the holy and great tradition of a new beginning of life but of one that is the obvious and drastic opposite to it. The holy ceremony, the wedding turns into its own reserve during the feast in the course of the dances as bad morals quickly come to the surface, lives fall one after the other. The only help could be here is the pure duet, the magnificent symbol of the newly wedded couple petrified by the sight.
