At the beginning of 2016, some enthusiastic young people dreamed of creating Transylvania’s largest multi-arts festival, the uniqueness of which lies primarily in cultural diversity, strong musical assortment and the beauty of the site. Six months later, a crowd of tens of thousands of people was having fun in the Europa Nostra Award winner Rimetea, hosting the festival. This year, Double Rise awaits its audience with renewed strength!
The ‘FolkLiget’ (Folk Park) of the Hungarian Heritage House awaits everyone with folk music curiosities to its concerts and its dance houses lasting until dawn. During the day, besides dance teaching, handicrafts and storytelling, it will serve also as a pub, so if you like listening to live folk music while drinking a good Rosé spritzer, your place is here! The Dűvő Orchestra, Üsztürü, Etnorom, Szalonna [meaning of his nickname: “Bacon”] and his Band, the Tokos Orchestra, András Berecz, an Unconventional Meeting of First Violinists, the Üver Orchestra, Kuttyomfitty Company and bearers of traditional folk music will ensure an unforgettable atmosphere at us!
